CMS Automatic Robotic Cells
Load and unload glass without the breakage risk.
CMS’s automatic robotic cells handle glass loading and unloading with anthropomorphic robots, removing manual handling from one of the highest-risk points in a glass production line. The result is safer operation, fewer breakages, and a more repeatable process end to end.
Every cell starts from a solid base configuration and can be built out further to match how your line actually runs, from simultaneous multi-sheet handling to space-saving stacked storage. Cells integrate with cutting lines, machining centres, seaming machines, waterjet and washing machines, whether CMS-built or not, and can transfer glass between multiple stations to form a fully automated plant rather than a single automated step.
KEY FEATURES
- Higher Performance — Robot size is matched to the job, handling glass sheets weighing hundreds of kilograms.
- Paper Laying System — An automated gantry lays separation paper between sheets, preventing scratching and making sheets easier to grip and separate on unload.
- Multi Pallet Management — A brushless motor-controlled wrist runs pallet-specific recipes with a 90° variable angle and zero pallet-changeover time.
- Automatic Suction Cup Management — Individual suction cups are controlled automatically, removing the need for operator intervention.
- Full Line Integration — Works with cutting lines, machining centres, seaming machines, waterjet and washing machines from CMS or other manufacturers.
- Multi-Machine Transfer — Moves glass between multiple processing stations, not just a single machine, to build a fully automated plant.
APPLICATIONS
- Sheet Loading & Unloading: Automated handling from adjacent rows or line-fed racks
- Space-Optimised Storage: Multiple stacked pallet levels managed automatically to reduce footprint

Why Choose CMS Automatic Robotic Cells?
Manual glass loading and unloading carries real breakage and safety risk. CMS’s robotic cells remove the operator from that step entirely while lifting overall plant productivity and repeatability. Beyond the base configuration, every cell can be built out to your exact requirements, whether that’s handling multiple sheets at once, optimising storage across stacked levels, or integrating into a fully automated multi-machine plant. It’s a system built around your line, not the other way around.
